Fort Worth Weekly Music Awards Festival

Thanks Fort Worth Weekly for a great day of music.

The FW Weekly Annual Music Awards Festival is a celebration of local music and has been hailed by critics as the “mini-SXSW.” Bands compete, fans vote, and North Texas endorses a scene of both unity and talent. The festival will be held on Sunday, June 24, at 8 different venues in the Near Southside. After the festival, the votes are tallied and winners will be announced at the Awards ceremony on July 8 at the historic Ridglea Theater.

During the festival, they will sell copies of their 2018 compilation album, Frequencies, Vol. 9 that features new or previously unrecorded tracks by select nominees from the studio session last May. Proceeds from the $5-a-pop sale of the digital download go toward the 2018 non-profit United Way of Tarrant County.
